The Zoo School Key Club works with the Lincoln Center Kiwanis Club to raise money for various projects to benefit the community of Lincoln.

We raised almost 2,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Lincoln!
Holiday Gift Baskets for St. Monicas
We took a trip to Target to help St. Monica's celebrate the holiday season.

Polar Fleece Hats for the City Mission
A bright and cheery way to help the kids at the Mission bundle up this winter!
Thanksgiving Turkeys
We donated money to buy Turkeys through the Center for People in Need this Thanksgiving season.
Trick-or-Treat for Unicef
A fun and easy way to raise funds for the United Nations' International Children's Education Fund.
Bubba's Closet
We got the chance to help LPS principals organize warm winter clothing for families of the Lincoln Public Schools.
4H Carnival
We got to help out the Lincoln Center Kiwanis at the annual 4H carnival.

Grill at the Zoo School
To help raise money for the new education building at the Folsom Children's Zoo, we carried out a picnic for the students at our school.
Children's Museum
Creating a spotlight on Afghanistan with interesting facts and photos.
Pancake Feed 2003
At the pancake feed, we got to batter up and flip the cakes for the Lincoln Center Kiwanis Club.


Bike Rodeo
At the Bike Safety Rodeo, children brought their bikes to UNL's East Campus and learned how to do tricks while staying safe on their bikes. Key Club students joined in on judging the competitions.

Hanging Map
Key Club purchased a giant wall map that was hung in the aviation exhibit at the Children's Museum. Special thanks to Mark Musick for his wallpaper expertise! :)


Slumberland Christmas Tree Competition
Every year, Slumberland provides a way for non-profit organizations to raise money while conducting a canned food drive. Key Club decorated a tree in zoo school fashion and placed 2nd in the number of canned food items the tree attracted from Slumberland customers. We received a prize of $500, funds that went toward hanging a giant wall map at the Children's Museum.

Kiwanis Pancake Feed 2002
At the annual pancake feed, Key Clubbers flipped pancakes and dished out toppings. Some got really adventurous and joined in the yodeling Kiwanians.
